Structures of Palaeolithic cultures

Detailed description:

Objects of Palaeolithic cultures were discovered in Sowin by accident. During agricultural work one of the farmers from Sowin ploughed up flint fragments. For several years in the area of Sowin archaeological works have been carried out. So far complete flint workshops have been secured among other finds. In the course of archaeological works also a bone of a woolly rhino and fragments of mammoth teeth were discovered. The number of artefacts found in Sowin is overwhelming. Only at one site in 2004-2005 over 25,000 flint remains and other elements of a Palaeolithic flint workshop were found. The discovery from Sowin has made it possible to reconstruct a supposed production settlement of the Stone Age, which existed in that part of the Niemodli?ski Ridge (Wa? Niemodli?ski).
