St. Hedwig’s Parish Church (originally the Blessed Virgin Mary) was first mentioned in 1302. The church in its present form was built in the years 1819-23 by master bricklayer Böhm. The construction was based on plans of Karl Friedrich Schinkel or Wollenhaupt, a construction inspector from Nysa. The church, partially burnt down in 1945, was rebuilt in 1949 in the late-classicist style. The church has been listed in the register of historical monuments.
