Srebrne ?ród?o (Silver Spring)

Detailed description: There are no more natural mixed forests in the Opolskie province. They were felled by lumberjacks of past ages. Instead, the powerful pine has appeared. It is only in places like the Jemielnia valley, that one can still find testimony to the past glory of the ?l?ska Primeval Forest – 23 ha of riparian areas with elms and ashes, forests with splashes of oak, beech, spruce and the last Opolskie specimens of yew trees, pennyworts, and daphne mezereum. Botanists had noticed these exceptional qualities of the Silver Spring as early as before the Second World War and gave the enclave the status of a reserve. Today, although not strictly protected, the Silver Spring is still one of the most charming places not only in the Chrz?stowice municipality, but in the entire Opolskie province.

Short description: Walking through a forest from D?bska Ku?nia to Schodnia, we come across a charming place, the Silver Spring. If you have been there once, you are always keen to come back. The forest valley is the starting point for countless springs (there are supposed to be 99). Surrounding it is a spreading carpet of pennyworts blooming every springtime. You can still find giant 200-year-old pines here. There are also a lot of legends and stories connected to this place. The deep quiet is underlined by the murmur of the 99 little springs, just as it was 1000 years ago.
