Several hundred years old natural monuments

Detailed description:

A group of old trees on the Prudnik-D?bowiec route includes 4 sessile oaks and 1 lime tree. Two of the oaks were recognised to be “Natural monuments” in 1956. One of them is about 420 years old, its trunk is approx. 562 cm in circumference and it is 21 m high. The other is about 270 years old, its trunk is approx. 545 cm in circumference and it is 23 m high. Inside the older tree, during conservation works in 1994, there was found a letter in German originating from 1915 containing information about the person who commissioned conservation works in that year – Mayor of Prudnik Langem as well as about bricklayer contractors. The document mentions also the difficult times of the First World War for the population of Prudnik (Neustadt).
