„Przylesie” Nature Reserve
The „Przylesie” Nature Reserve of 17 ha. Located in the Oder basin between the spring in Przylesie and Gnojna. The soil in the reserve is of two divisions – the autogenic and the hydrogenic one. Tree stands in the reserve differ depending of the type of habitat. Of special interest is the 200-year-old oak stand which is a rarity in Poland. The undergrowth and the forest floor provide a habitat for a lot of protected plant varieties such as the European wild ginger, woodruff, lily of the valley, daphne mezereum, lesser butterfly-orchid, and common ivy. From the mammal family there is the roe deer and the wild boar whereas birds include the great spotted woodpecker, jay, tit, and the Eurasian nuthatch. Amphibians are represented by frogs and toads; insects – by the willow weevil and the green oak moth.
