Detailed description:

Due to the economic development of Gogolin, the number of its inhabitants grew considerably as did the need to build a church do take care of the spiritual side of their lives. That is why local Catholics built the Church of the Sacred Heart at Strzelecka Street in 1899 – 1901. It was only in 1925, however, that the church got its altar. It was a Neo-Gothic polyptych made by artisans from Nysa. The church bells were twice confiscated for military needs. It took a third set bought by father Stanis?aw Schulz in 1958 to bring back their sound to the village. It is worth mentioning the presbytery which is located by the church and was built in the Westfall style in 1907.
