Once a year each parish celebrates its patron. These are the biggest feasts in every parish. A special thanksgiving and expiatory Mass is followed by a Eucharistic procession around the church that finishes with a thanksgiving Te Deum. The feast is also an opportunity for family gatherings and a great attraction for children because of stalls and travelling ”funfairs”.
