The trail begins at the bus stop in Kolonia Popielowska which can be reached by bus from Opole. It then follows the same route as the cycling trail, ending at the bus stop in the village of Stare Kolnie. Lovers of wilderness will certainly enjoy the passage through the dam on the Stobrawa river (beyond Czapliniec) and then further hike to Stare Kolnie following the left embankment of the Stobrawa river. They can admire sedge meadows and a mixed deciduous forest in the Stobrawa-Rybna polder. We return to the right bank of the river via the bridge at the entrance to Stare Kolnie. When the Stobrawa water level is low, can leave the bridge behind and continue along the left bank as far as the Sitnica rivulet which we ford. After passing Sitnica we will come across a small wood where we will find the remains of a 14th century watchtower situated in the Stobrawa-Sitnica bifurcation
