Karpik (Small Carp) – international contest of satiric drawing
Each year at the beginning of November the Culture Centre in Niemodlin organises a satire and culinary banquet called “Karpik”. The banquet crowns the satirical graphic contest. Every year the contest is entered by both Polish and foreign representatives, e.g. from USA, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Spain, the Netherlands and Argentina. “Karpik” has become a permanent part of the satirical events timetable in the country. Works of the winners of the graphic artist contest are placed on the “Wall of Satirists”, whereas the other works are auctioned off for charity. The event is entered by the best Polish caricaturists, such as Leszek O?dak and Micha? Graczyk.
