On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the 6th week after Easter, before Ascension, there are the so-called Holy Cross Days, on which the Church prays for God’s blessing for farmers, asking for good crops, and also remembers those stricken by hunger in different parts of the world. There are also prayers for God’s blessing for each human labour. On these Days the main form of supplication takes the shape of an imploratory procession. To the accompaniment of the litany to All Saints and St. Mary’s songs, the procession progresses from the church to the crosses in the parish.
