The picnic has been organised since 1990. It is a Polish-Czech event. Upper Silesian picnics take place in turns in Krnov or G?ubczyce and are a cultural holiday in both cities. Performances, which take place during the picnic, give the citizens an opportunity to present their cultural output. Within the last few years over 5,000 performers from both sides of the border have presented themselves. The event is not a commercial one.
