White Opole ?ymlok is a product from the group: “Fresh meat and meat products”. In appearance, it is similar to the brown sausage. In section, the mixed ingredients of which it is made are visible. It is cylindrical, bent at the ends which are tied with a cotton thread. Its section is circle-shaped (on the outside the intestine is visible, inside – the stuffing). Size: Length – around 20 cm, diameter – 3 to 4 cm. Flavour – salty with a perceptible large amount of seasonings. Aromatic scent of cooked meat, fat and seasonings. The name of the product indicates its very distant origin, as “?ymlok” derives from the name of one of the ingredients used for its production, namely from the word “?ym?a”, meaning bread roll. Nowadays the word “?ym?a” is no longer used in Silesian dialect, but name “?ymlok” has survived until now. Ms Krystyna Linek participates in many exhibitions, fairs and mass events providing tasting shows and selling the white Opole ?ymlok. Thus she promotes the culinary heritage of the Opole Silesia.
