Day of the Roasted Jacket Potato

Day of the Roasted Jacket Potato is an integration event in the village of Z?otog?owice.
The aim of this event is to offer integration entertainment for inhabitants of the village of Z?otog?owice, the town of Nysa, and tourists, as well as to stimulate cultural and social life of the area. Guests take part in games and competitions related to potatoes. Moreover, organisers offer beach ball and football tournaments. Throughout the day at the venue of the event a huge bonfire burns, with potatoes being roasted. Apart from potatoes, guests may taste the meat of wild boar, a hunter’s stew (traditional Polish dish made of sauerkraut, meet and mushrooms) and army-style pea soup. The event is provided with live music accompaniment and singing performance of groups practising at the Village Centre of Culture in Z?otog?owice.
