Czarna Dziura

Detailed description: In mid 19th century the place was located on a busy route leading towards Ozimek. It was most frequently used by waggoners transporting ore from all villages in the vicinity and sometimes from as far as Panoszów or W?dzina. It was also a resting place for local warlords, highwaymen, and hired hands roaming the land to find work. These were restless people, at odds with humility but quick with the knife. The legend has it that one day, the Good Friday, a group of waggoners with a load of ore indulged themselves at a local inn. Having eaten sumptuously and drunk their fill, they started bowling… to little success. Their vexation blew up into a brawl and bodies fell – bodies of the innocent sons of the inn keeper. At the same moment, thunder struck out of the blue sky. The inn, the revellers, ancient oaks – all was sucked rumbling under the ground. The only thing that was left was a mud filled, bottomless pond. This beautiful legend is rivalled only by the beauty of the surrounding forests.
