Church of the Sacred Heart
The Parish Church of the Sacred Heart dates back to the first half of the 14th century. Only its tower is more recent dating back to about 1600. In mid 19th century the church was renovated and the layout of its windows was changed. The vault of its two-bay chancel is cross-ribbed with the ribs resting on three-sided stone corbels. Polychrome decorations of the chancel were made in different periods starting from the first half of the 15th century. The oldest ones are to be found on the vault. Their creators remain unknown, but we do know that they were local Silesian artists. The style suggests the same artistic workshop as the one of the painter responsible for nave decorations in Strzelnice. The church interior is especially valuable for its Baroque altar from 1723.
