The Centre was established based on the gym of the former school. The Centre will be the arena for sports competitions for young people, regular contests for particular professional groups (e.g. policemen, clerks, teachers), regional cultural events with participation of local community and representatives of partner town, Northeim. Next to the sports centre a football pitch and a volleyball court were established. The sports centre is also a conference hall where discos and occasional parties are organised.
