U?ka
Nature park is a broad natural or partly cultivated area of land and/or sea featuring ecological characteristics of international and national importance, and pronounced landscape, educational, cultural, historical, tourist and recreational values. Economic and other activities and actions that do not endanger the main features and functions of the nature park are permitted within its territory.
U?ka
U?ka, a recently proclaimed nature park, is the most wooded mountain of Istria. Vojak on U?ka (1396 m) is the highest peaks of the "roof of Istria", followed by Veliki Planik on ?i?arija with 1272 m. U?ka is the point with the most humidity, the yearly quantity of rain and snow coming to 2500-3000 liters per square meter. The western slopes of U?ka, exactly in Vranjska Draga, is the oldest Istrian mountain climbing site called Ostenjaci. The highest Istrian settlement of Istria County is Mala u?ka on 1008 m above sea level.
