Founded in 1953 by the farmers living in the villages of Romanoro, Rovolo and Macognano, it currently processes from 1,500 to 2,000 tons of milk per year. It produces Parmigiano Reggiano, butter, fresh cheese, cottage cheese and caciotte (medium-hard cheese) and in 2004 it was granted the Best Dairy Award for the Province of Modena.
