The Cinghi Nature Park of Boccassuolo covers a surface area of 60 hectares, mainly rocky and wooded, between the Municipality of Palagano and the district of Boccassuolo, at an altitude of 1,100 metres. The paths which run though the park pass through thick vegetation with oak, cerris, chestnut, hornbeam and ash trees, as well as a large pine forest. Walking silently along the paths through the park, it is possible to glimpse the numerous species of animals and birds which live there. A visit to the ancient and long-abandoned copper and pyrite mines completes your excursion.
