The Parco della Resistenza Monte Santa Giulia covers an area of 27 hectares, mainly wooded, near Monchio di Palagano, at an altitude of nearly a thousand metres, and it was here during the last World War that many of the cruel episodes involving the struggles of the Resistance took place. Fourteen monolithic stone statues stand at the entrance to the park, erected in commemoration of the massacres of Monchio, Costrignano, Susano and Savoniero on the 18th of March 1944.
