The erstwhile steelworks canal in Kolonowskie is one of the oldest industrial monuments in the town and in the entire region of Silesia. It was constructed with the primary purpose of floating wood to the furnace in Kolonowskie and of banking up water flowing in the Ma?a Panew. Today the canal has not been in operation for a long time. It has even been partially filled-in. The still existing sections are a picturesque touch to the town’s landscape.
