Cottage cheese belongs in the milk products group. For production of cottage cheese, milk must undergo a natural fermentation process and then should be heated. From the heated sour milk the whey should be filtered, which is a waste-product. What remains is the country cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is an all-Poland traditional product made in the past in villages, and now its production has been abandoned due to the large supply of cheese coming from dairies. Women from the Silesian Women Association in Mionów organise demonstrations of cottage cheese production, promote the production recipe and the interested people may taste the scents and flavours of that traditional product.
