Silesian Olympics
Silesian Olympics constitute an integrative social event for adults, teenagers and children. Its aim is to cultivate Silesian traditions and customs. During the Olympics there are numerous events, including these: 1. Ciep nudelkul? – a rolling-pin throw, a competition for single and married women. To motivate the contestants the organisers advise to put their husbands in the rolling pin’s trajectory. 2. Ze stark? na puklu z pa?ciami – a steeple-chase with the partner on the man’s back 3. Jajca w pr?ciu – an egg on two pieces of wicker tied up with a ribbon 4. Strzelanie ze szlejwra do glazy – shooting at balloons with a catapult 5. Baby z wozu ch?opom l?ej – men pull a horse carriage on metal hoops with their partners sitting in it. All the events are protected by copyright, which belongs to the owner of the Garden Cafe, where the Silesian Olympics take place.
