Obszar chronionego krajobrazu Lasy Stobrawsko - Turawskie
Part of the Jemielnica Municipality, Strzelce Opolskie
The Stobrawsko-Turawskie Woods and the Stobrawski Landscape Park shelter almost all of the drainage basins of the Smotrawa, Stobrawa, Brynica, Budkowiczanka, and Jemielnica rivers.
The Stobrawsko-Turawskie woods are known for their valuable natural assets. The majority of the area is covered with fresh pine forests. There are also broadleaved trees mainly represented by the birch. Additionally, one can find spots of spruces, oaks, beeches and alders. As regards their flora, the woods are one of the most interesting in the Opolskie province. The lime rich soil is good for rare plant varieties such as the orchis, pasque flower, and some campanulas. There are also protected ferns (the Royal Fern) and lycopodium. Fauna in the woods includes such species as the roe deer, European deer, fallow deer, grass snakes, European vipers, wasp spiders, slow-worms, storks, cranes, and kingfishers.
