Namys?ów town hall
Namys?ów, Namys?ów Municipality
Gothic-Renaissance town hall erected in Namys?ów between 1378 and 1389
The brick-built town hall was rebuilt several times. The original 15th century main building with a 14th tower was built on a rectangular plan. It was expanded in the 18th and 19th centuries by the addition from the south, west and north of segments surrounding the tower. On the outside there are facades of the longer blocks of the main building; originally consisting of four axes, now the axis rhythm has been transformed. The lower part of the tower comes from 1381-89, while the upper was added after a fire in 1438 together with the clock. The tower has a late Renaissance, bulbous cupola. The re-gothisation of the building was completed in 2002. At 12.00 a bugle call can be heard from the tower; the tune was composed by one of the inhabitants of Namys?ów, Edward Odoj.
