The water barrow was used by the inhabitants of Żyrowa for almost 170 years to transport water from the nearby chapel called Studzionka (Small Well). The name of the roundabout, Kozi Rynek, or Goat Square, reveals the former occupation of the village’s peasants. They bred goats and gathered them each day in the square to let them graze on nearby meadows in secret.
