Stobrawskie Woods Forest Complex
Municipalities of Kluczbork, Wo?czyn, Lasowice Wielkie
The south-western part of the region contains a part of a large forest complex of the Stobrawskie Woods, reaching as far as the Odra river, and composed of pine forests (approx. 42% of the area). The region is forested in 30% of its area.
About 20% the complex of the Stobrawskie Woods is composed of humid mixed forests, while the rest consists of mixed forests (humid and fresh). The remaining habitats constitute about 7% of the total. In the Wroc?aw district fresh mixed forest predominates (approx. 18%), while humid forest occurs less often. The area also has more riparian forests and alder groves (approx. 10%). The forest complexes abound in fruits of the forest (blueberries and cowberries). There is also a great multitude of mushrooms (ceps, yellow chanterelles, slippery jacks, the Boletus badius) and game: roe deer, wild boar, red deer, hares, martens, foxes. These areas may be very attractive both for mushroom-pickers and hunters.
