“Ulga” relief canal of Lake Otmuchowskie
designation:
Begins in ?cibórz, then runs along road No. 46 through Frydrychów, ?liwice to Otmuchów.
short description:
An interesting element of hydro-technical structure from the turn of the twenties of the 20th century.
detailed description:
Built concurrently with the lake, the “Ulga” relief canal represents an interesting example of German hydro-technical engineering. The Raczyna and ?widna rivers flowing into the canal create a charming climate, along with all water bars, bridges and waterfalls. The natural environment of the canal is very rich and offers opportunity to encounter rare species of birds. When the water level rises high, the lake bursts its banks and the canal becomes a churning surf, completely changing its appearance.
