Production of kroszonkas within the Easter period is a traditional occupation of women from the Silesian Women Association of the village of Walce
Women from the Silesian Women Association of the village of Walce prepare within the Easter period kroszonkas, which are a decoration of the Easter table. Kroszonkas are made with two methods: the batik method consisting in painting cooked eggs with patterns, and then dying them in a paint bath; the engraving method consisting in dying cooked eggs in a paint bath and then decorating them with patterns with the use of a burin. Kroszonkas, small masterpieces of handcraft are consumed during Easter. Women from Walce organise workshops on decoration of kroszonkas, take part in demonstrations, exhibitions and fairs presenting their products. Contact – phone: (+48)77 466 01 13
