Cooking of bigus is a traditional occupation of women from the Silesian Women Association in Mionow, the municipality of G?ogówek.

The ingredients needed for preparation of bigus are: cabbage, juice of sauerkraut, smoked bacon and raw home-made pork sausage. Directions: roast the bacon a bit, add flour and make roux, add sauerkraut juice (kapu?nica) and cook until thick sauce is made. In that sauce the home-made sausage should be cooked. To thicken the dish, add the sauerkraut. Bigus is a Silesian traditional dish cooked in villages.
