City of Buzet
Buzet is the city of truffles
Buzet is charming medieval townlet which has developed next to the source of the Mirna River, at the site of a prehistoric hill-fort and ancient Roman Pinquentum. Buzet is a dual settlement. The old part of Buzet is standing on the top of hill while the new part, Fontana, has spread out at the foot of the hill. The old part is unique for his beauty and charm of medieval urban patina. It has two town gates, four squares connected with three main streets. The main square with the parish church is chiseled out in the live rock. Buzet is also well know for his big happenings during the year, like hill speed test car race, Istrian and warner singing groups (klape) meetings, Subotina in an Old Way and many other.
